Xi’an Creative Moon Screen

Nestled at the iconic South Gate City Wall of Xi’an, this creative circular moon screen adopts high-performance P30 LED mesh screen, perfectly blending modern display technology with ancient city wall architecture. It becomes a stunning cultural landmark that inherits the charm of Chang’an.

Inspired by the profound Tang Dynasty culture and Silk Road heritage, the project presents magnificent visual storytelling. With poetic aesthetics of ancient Chang’an, it reproduces the prosperous scenes of the Tang Dynasty and interprets the long-standing historical and cultural context along the Silk Road.

Officially launched during October 1–7, 2018, the 10-meter-diameter giant round LED screen delivered grand night performances every evening at 19:00. It featured the majestic Tang Dynasty welcome ceremony Dream of Chang’an, the epic show Ode to Chang’an, as well as classic artistic scenes including Drunken Princess and Farewell My Concubine.

With delicate picture presentation and immersive visual effects, the Luminatii custom moon screen creates a stunning time-travel experience. It leads audiences to wander through the ancient and modern, feel the prosperity of the flourishing Tang Dynasty, and showcases the unique charm of international Xi’an. The ancient city wall echoes the bright moon, making this creative LED installation a perfect combination of traditional culture and modern digital art.
